HOW TO SAVE ON PRINTER INK-MY TOP 3 LIST OF OPTIONS TO SAVE MONEY ON PRINTER INK

I get daily emails asking about ways to save on the cost of printing our money saving coupons. There are 3 options that I have used and compared and your own choice will depend on just how Frugal you really are!

Option #1

**This is my preferred choice** It is the absolute cheapest option and it is the Eco-Friendly choice. I purchase ink refill kits on Ebay for around $3.00, including shipping, and it lasts me through 2 cartridge uses. Don't be overwhelmed by the term "kit"-all this means is a bottle of ink and a syringe that will be used to refill your current ink cartridge, along with a paper to show you where to locate the "hole" on your particular ink cartridge. Don't forget you can get CASH BACK even on Ebay Purchases using EBATES!

Refilling your ink cartridge is very easy to do, doesn't take much time and is the cheapest. I've been doing this for the past year with no problems and can't see that I will go back to paying for new or refilled cartridges at any point.

Option #2

Take your current cartridges to be refilled professionally at a store near you. Walgreens, OfficeMax and many other stores do this. Cost averages about $10 per refill, unless you catch a promotion or sale. Walgreens had a $1 refill promo not long ago, so they do happen!

Option #3

If you must buy new cartridges, buy them online utilizing a bulk supplier that will save you at least 50% of the In-Store Price. Simply Ink is a great one that I have used, and they carried my ink for $11.95 instead of the store retail of $32.95.

I also highly recommend 123Inkjets , because they Recycle & Refurbish Ink Cartridges.

If you choose this option, consider ReCycling your old cartridges. OfficeMax gives a $3 credit to your MaxPerks Rewards for each cartridge you turn in. Other stores have similar programs to encourage recycling.

Those are my top 3 recommendations for saving on printer ink!

The biggest tip is to NEVER run out of ink.

Anytime I've allowed myself to run out of ink I'm faced with the question of paying huge retail store price, so that I can print my coupons - which more than pay for the ink - or go without and wait on a refill kit or cartridge via mail.
That's no fun!

HOW TO SAVE MONEY ON MEATS AND CUT YOUR GROCERY BILL IN HALF !

One of the quickest ways to double your spending at the grocery store is on Meat Purchases! We work so hard gathering our coupons and matching up to the sales..but, how often to we see coupons for for Meats? Rarely! So maybe we stock up when there is a good sale? But then you've got to think about the dates on those items, even if you freeze them! I've been testing out my solution for the last month or so and finally ready to share with you!

I'm sure you've heard of Omaha Steaks before. I've seen millions of ads and never really paid attention before. QVC and other shopping networks on TV demonstrate the quality of the meats by cooking them live...boy, those shows make me hungry! So I decided to really look into it and I'm gonna break this down for you and encourage you to do your own comparison of the costs and quality!

I placed an order for this package for $79.99, which included the following items :

The Great Grilling Assortment | 45068BZK
4 (5 oz.) Filet Mignons
4 (5 oz.) Top Sirloins
4 (4 oz.) Boneless Pork Chops
4 (4 oz. approx.) Boneless Chicken Breasts
4 (4 oz.) Omaha Steaks Burgers
8 (3 oz.) Gourmet Franks
4 (5.75 oz.) Stuffed Baked Potatoes

That's a total of 28 individually packed meats or 28 servings if you prefer to say. Now imagine the cost of that at the grocery store? The 8 Top Quality & Cut Steaks alone would run you an average of $6-8 per steak (on a VERY good sale)which is $48-$64. Now add in the Pork Chops, Boneless Chicken Breasts, Gourmet Burgers & Franks and you can see that aside from getting higher quality items that are individually wrapped, this is a definate savings on your grocery bill! There are many promo packages with various assortments and prices, based on what you need/use/like. I've found that the best pricing are in those promo packages.

So, I'm now in LOVE with Omaha Steaks! I call it my new "equal payment plan", LOL, like the power companies offer, so you can predict the amount of your bill each month, instead of dealing with the fluctuations all year long! A sure way to get a handle on this portion of your grocery bill! That leaves your grocery trips focused on all the other grocery items that we usually have coupons & sales matchups for!

My order arrived in a very nice reusable Insulated Cooler, packed with dry ice. They are flash frozen and sealed air tight, which is very different than buying fresh in the store and then freezing at home. The tenderness & juicyness is unbelievable!

I can't begin to tell you the savings at the grocery store that I'm experiencing but the other perk is that it completely streamlines my grocery shopping and simplifies it! I encourage you to check it out! I think you will not only enjoy the savings but also be amazed with the quality of these meats and might be like me, hooked after the first time!

Check out Omaha Steaks today and compare the costs for yourself!

More Saturdays Savings Tips ! FREE 20 oz Coke, Powerade, MinuteMaid and more

This week I've gotten a total of 6 FREE 20 oz drinks, as you can (partially) see above!!

I've shared this with you all before, but for all of you who might have missed it or are new, I'm sharing again because I'm just too excited about these FREEBIES not to !

Despite the fact of how unhealthy it is (etc.,etc.,etc.,) I have a household that consumes Sprite and Mello Yello like crazy! My hubby drinks Sprite and yes, I'm completely addicted to likely the sugar and caffeine in Mello Yello. Aside from the fact that it is also horrible for your teeth, it is one of those habits I have had for many years and have not managed to give up yet.

Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right ? hehehe...so sorry to all my very health conscious readers. I try, but I also tell it like it is:)

Sooooo....for all of us carbonated, sugar saturated and caffenine addicted soda drinkers, I have to tell you how I am getting several FREE 20 oz drinks on a weekly basis now!

My Coke Rewards is one of the easiest rewards programs with some very quick and attainable choices for the points you accrue, just by entering the code printed on the inside of your bottle cap or a 12 pack carton. For just 30 points, which is only a few 2 liters or 12 packs, etc., you can redeem and get a Coupon for a FREE 20 oz drink (choice of any "sparking", Powerade, Minute Maid, etc.)

Needless to say, with my household, we acrue these points very quickly and for the last few weeks I've been able to redeem for 3-4 of the FREE 20 oz coupons each week! That's actually some significant savings if you think about it!

So, if you haven't tried it yet, and you drink Coca-Cola Products, be sure to check it out. The best part (for me anyways!) is that they had never put codes into Mello Yello before, and they just redesigned the Mello Yello Logo and added codes to the packaging...WOOHOO...that means EVEN more FREE drinks for me!
