CONGRATULATIONS TO WINNING ENTRY #96!!!
Marcia S. who said: "I am the president of the school PTO. I am always looking for new ways to help get more parents to save box tops!"
CONGRATS MARCIA!!
I'm so excited to announce another Back To School Giveaway! General Mills wants to provide one of my Readers with a $25 WalMart Gift Card! They are encouraging parents to start thinking about how we can support our childrens education and have gone above and beyond the call to increase the amount of Box Tops placed on various grocery items, as well as the amount of items carrying Box Tops!
Do you save Box Tops and turn in to your childrens school? I never realized that it's basically like Coupons for Schools! Our schools budgets and funding are being cut so dramatically, I want to do everything I can to help!
The Box Tops for Education program is an easy solution and this year Walmart is making it even easier! From Aug. 3 - Aug. 31, head over to your local Walmart to find 4 Box Tops on participating General Mills products and earn more cash for the participating school of your choice. As your one-stop destination for all your needs this back-to-school season, Walmart is helping you save more and earn more with the Box Tops for Education brands you love.
With over 20 great brands and more than 40 products participating, here are just a few of my favorites that include 4 Box Tops that you can find at Walmart this August:
Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
Pillsbury Toaster Strudel pastries
Trix Yogurt
Hamburger Helper skillet meals
Totino’s Pizza Rolls snacks
Nature Valley Granola Bars
Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-Ups snacks
Be sure to keep an eye out for Box Tops on great products from Kleenex, Ziploc, and Hefty too!
Now for the GIVEAWAY !!
I mentioned how committed I am to supporting and helping our childrens schools at a time when the school budgets are being cut in much needed areas. I keep a large ziploc bag on the side of my refrigerator with a heavy duty magnet. As I cook or am in the kitchen opening packages, I simply drop the Box Tops into the bag as I empty packages.
MANDATORY ENTRY:
Leave a comment on this post and share ways that you help support your childrens or neighborhood schools-Fundraising, Box Tops, you name it! Even if you don't have kids in school, remember this is our future generation and you can still contribute Box Tops to a school near you!

My husband and I don't have kids yet, but I am the oldest of 4. I remember growing up always trying to help my brothers and sister with their school work. That's something I was glad I was able to do, even at times I felt like I wanted to pull my hair out from frustration, LOL! Heather heathersink@hotmail.com

ReplyDeleteI save them and have family members who also give them to me. You can also shop online through the Box Tops program and a portion goes to the school.
ReplyDeleteThere are programs at grocery stores where you can register your rewards card (i.e., VIC, MVP, etc.) and a portion is sent to schools.
There are recycling programs that collect drink pouches and schools can earn money.
There are tons of programs available but the best thing parents can do is actively participate in the parent/teacher organization associated with the school. It's a great way to find out about programs to help your child's education.

I am the volunteer Box Tops Coordinator for my boys' school - three years beginning this August! I also am an avid clipper of Box Tops, always clipping and keeping them in an envelope clipped to my refrigerator. I started this with a large manilla envelope the first year when I got an opportunity to earn bonus box tops that required the receipts be sent with a form printed out from the Box Tops website.
ReplyDeleteHaving served the past two years as the Box Tops Coordinator, I can say our school has earned over $2,600 since I became the coordinator! It's totally "free money" for the schools to be spent however the school determines.

BTW, I also get my kids involved in the collections of Box Tops by asking family and friends for their Box Tops to be clipped and collected every couple of months....and they are helpful when it comes time to count and submit to Box Tops for Education!!
