ReplyDeleteI cut time on partied by putting together place settings, snacks and other items the night before. Helps keep me less stressed on the day of the party and frees me up to spend more time enjoying the party!
Irishrose said I liked FFF and Smarty. We often cut costs for our gatherings by having everyone bring one dish & we supply the main dish & the beverages...it helps a lot.
ReplyDeleteI cut my time by prepping all foods that can be done in advance. I also purchase plastic forks, cups, plates, etc so that I don't have to spend time washing dishes!

I think this is where I would leave a comment how I save time/money when planning a get together...well first of all I have each person bring something like drinks or dessert to help out. Also make ice tea with lemon. Very inexpensive & most people like it especially when it is hot. Also cucumber & lemon water is wonderful & so pretty when it is floating in the water in a nice dispenser or glass pitcher. Thank you for putting my name in the entry. ReplyDeleteOne thing i love to to do is get into my pantry and come up with some amazing new recipe..Say i want to do a chilli party and i have only 1 can of beans..normally i keep dry beans on hand, so with a quick soak and then a slow boil, i have beans.. also my family loves chilli. so when i get a good deal a the grocery store i stock up on the beanless chilli, this way all i have to do is add another pound or 2 of ground beef and the cooked dry chilli and i can feed an army of folks...also, i cant forget the homemade corn chips.. i also use canned diced tomates, chopped onion, garlic and a little bit of spices and there u go..instant and cheap salsa
ReplyDeletei totally "LIKED" you on Facebook..

ReplyDeleteI love fff. I think these glasses are fantastic. What a great way to save time washing dishes and still look good. Love them. I often prep many items ahead of time for parties,(since I am also a pampered chef rep, it helps a lot). Then i will ask guests to bring their favorite dish.

I am usually designated to have family and friend get-togethers in my vast backyard, so everyone loves to help out by bringing a dish, helping me prep, and bringing lawn chairs. We also like to desigate of few people to come prepared with outdoor games that everyone can participate in. At a summer get together last year, we "killed two birds with one stone" by having my sister in-law, who owns a jewelry business, provide a fashion show for our entertainment. The kids got to be the models and the adults purchased a few items...so, she made some money, and I didn't have to go through the trouble of finding some sort of entertainment! I love the "glasses" give away!! i have some friends who might put their nose up at plastic ware...but I know they wouldn't be able to complain about these! Perfect for around he pool lounging as well. email me if I win!!!!!!! :)danceorr82@yahoo.com
